So my beloved Redskins are on their bye week and I was truly looking forward to this, because it meant nothing bad could happen to them... right? Of course that's not the case! Brandon Banks, our stud return man, and possibly the best offensive player on this team had to have surgery and is out for at least one game. That one game is against the Eagles on Monday Night Football! I knew things were too good to be true.
I was able to swallow that tough pill, and thought to myself that maybe some NFC East teams would lose this week to help our standings out. NOPE! The Giants destroyed the Seahawks, and the Eagles just finished off the Colts. The only upside was that the Vikings were able to beat the Cardinals and the Falcons beat the Bucs who we will have a chance to gain a tiebreaker over. It just makes the loss to Detroit that much harder to deal with. I truly hope that we come back with a gameplan to deal with the Eagles and sweep them. We're still in the playoff hunt and I'm going to keep my hopes high.
